If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire… The A-Team

Ha! we found them: See? it’s their headquarters too! I did note however that they are ‘under new management’ so has Hannibal left them? also, they have a sign ‘drivers wanted’ so maybe BA has also gone…*sigh* This was taken last week when Lisa and I had a couple of days in York (ask her about the train fiasco…) – our B&B was up the road just past this place, so EVERY time we passed it, we both started humming the A Team theme 🙂 I didn’t take any pictures from the city walls, so I can’t give you a […]

    The herding instinct

So, as it was a bank holiday on Monday (a GENUINE one – not one of my ‘I thought it was’ jobbies), and Lisa didn’t have the kids, we decided on a day in sunny Bedford. Well, actually, we decided to go see a film, but got there really early so went for breakfast first (mmm…breakfast). This is where we ended up – and I must say it looks pretty good (so good in fact, that we decided to go back there for a meal sometime – but more about that later). On entering, we decided to both have a […]

    Where has the sun gone?

It’s been one of those weeks – Monday was SUPPOSED to have been fairly easy for me…just a smidgen of paperwork to do before my trip to Hahn on the Tuesday/Wednesday. I hadn’t figured in the Tim factor (AKA: fuck up factor) – as such I spent the day in the workshop trying to get the paperwork over there up to date, then making sure delivery notes etc. were all ready for stuff going out while I was away (I could have left it for Corina to do, but I like to be ahead in these things). After work, I […]

    Vodafone – an update

Just taken a call from the office of the Director of Vodafone – a very nice lady apologised for the confusion and has promised to cancel the ‘contract’ today with no early termination fees due from me. She has also said, that as I no longer wish to port the number across, she’ll arrange for the line to remain open for 3 months to catch any calls from people who don’t have my new number. RESULT! 🙂 EDIT: Job done! Dear Mr Bennett. Thank you for your time today on the phone. I would like to confirm that I have […]

    Vodacon – an update

So, a few more emails have gone back and forth – what they are saying now is that only 5-10% of calls are recorded and they’d need the sales agent’s name to find the call made to me. This sounds like bullshit to me – surely it would be marked on my account who had ‘sold’ me a contract? Anyway, I posted my woes on the Giffgaff forum and got this reply: Oh Vodafone! How they continue to live on their old reputation, but are one of the naffest networks about. Ok I had problems with Vodafone and I managed […]
