I mentioned how my computer went bang a few posts back. Here’s what’s happened so far:<\/p>\n

Well, the computer wasn’t COMPLETELY farked – I blew the PSU and the secondary hard drive (250GB – loadsa progs etc. and my MAIN backup drive \ud83d\ude10 ).<\/p>\n

The strange thing is, my primary hard drive wasn’t in the machine at the time and yet it fails to boot and I can’t access any data on it even when booting from linux…VERY weird.<\/p>\n

So it seems that I blew the 250GB drive ‘cos it was in the machine, and the 120GB drive decided to fail in sympathy \ud83d\ude15<\/p>\n

I did manage to sort Harriett’s computer though – was thoroughly tested at mine by Ed and Phoebe for a good 1.5 hours and was fine so back to hers it went.<\/p>\n

Saturday I got it all hooked up and everything was happy, happy, joy, joy for a while until Nat went to have a go on it…damn thing rebooted itself after 15 minutes \ud83d\ude10<\/p>\n

Now, I’ve checked (and changed) everything – hard drive, CD drive, memory, all PCI cards and STILL it does this reboot thing – I changed the extension power cord – same thing happened.<\/p>\n

So what I’ve decided is to get myself a new computer and let Harriett have my one – I KNOW 100% it does not reboot itself randomly…my good name in computing is on the line here \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
