This last week has been bad. I mean REALLY bad. For years now we (my family) have known that dad is on his way out, but this week, we got the time scale – it’s completely shit. To compound matters, my elder sister was admitted to hospital – she’s been “doing the dad” and hiding it from us all.<\/p>\n

Everyone seeing this, please just pause for a moment and think of those you love – they’re not always gonna be there. I apologise for nothing upbeat here, but the only thing I can think about is my dad and my sister – there’s war going on in the middle east, my elder sister who would do everything for anyone, my dad who never complains about anything, and yet here I am whinging about ‘stale bread’ or something – something happens that brings life into focus I guess.<\/p>\n

I have to try to be strong for the rest of my family. Nobody reading this knows my dad, but he’s the guy you want to be – if I can be a quarter the man he is, then I’ll be happy – I love him so much. It’s not a good time for me right now, but I know there’s someone there for me…<\/p>\n

Oh shite, I never mentioned my niece – Natasha (AKA: Zizu), born last week – I forget the weight and date (and will probably be slapped for it), but she’s fine and dandy – I’ll post pics when I get around to it.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
