Well, I’m still playing around with my server, so sneesh.co.uk is looking a little weird right now. I upgraded my connection – at the moment my line is in test mode (takes 10 days), so the speed will vary until the maximum speed is calculated. I’m getting download speeds of 6500 Kbps Had the staples taken out of my ankle on Tuesday – back in a cast for 4 weeks now, then I should be all better. Here’s a picture: Lovely huh? it itches like mad…February 20th: that’s when I’m gonna spend about 3 hours soaking in a hot bath…

Friday again…I’m bored ‘cos I’m stuck at home – having to keep my foot elevated. I bought a new domain name – sneesh.co.uk. Eventually I’ll run that from my home web server, but for now it’s hosted on FreeHostia – VERY good hosts, free, all the goodies you need (PHP, MySQL, Unix server, script installer…) Roll on Tuesday – I get the staples taken out of my ankle (15 minutes or so out of a cast – I can’t wait to scratch my leg)

Still kind of quiet workwise so I’m making the most of the peace and keeping my foot up so it gets better quicker. Spent most of the day playing Asteroids (I think I’m addicted…) Hopefully tomorrow will be busier so the time goes quicker – and next Tuesday I get the staples taken out – my foot will be free (at least for 15 minutes or so until the new cast goes on). A broken ankle is very painful, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

I’m sure it’s what weekends are for – lazing about, doing next to nothing and letting the world spin slowly… I’ve found that a bottle of wine goes well with painkillers – I have no pain now Tomorrow Spurs play Newcastle. I’ll probably go watch the match in the club – of course, that means I have to get dressed etc. I guess I’ll sleep on it…

Well, after all that’s happened so far this year…I’m FINALLY back to work today. Not too much going on right now though…at least I have an excuse to put my feet up

Here’s the story of my new year so far (mostly written at the time – yes, I took my laptop into hospital): Wed 3rd Jan, 2007 Well, I was supposed to come to the fracture clinic for a checkup, maybe an x-ray, then a full cast fitted. Here’s a pic of my foot/ankle at that time: What actually happened was I had a new full cast fitted with the doctor manipulating my ankle while I was sucking in gas and air to kill the pain (doesn’t work completely)…this done, it was off to x-ray to see how it had worked.
