Alert! alert! new post :O
Wow, 18 months since my last post…and reading that, things have certainly changed! and all for the better. Firstly, Lisa and I got married – very romantic affair really, it was sold to me that financially it made sense with the properties etc. As such, we got 2 witnesses, Lisa’s dad, and my mum and off to the registry office. We had the Muppet Show theme tune playing during the ceremony, then Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’ (the only ‘sensible’ wedding ceremony song), follwed by Foo Fighters ‘Long Road to Ruin’. We left the registry office to the Muppets ‘Manamana’. Lisa […]

(Well, as close as I can get to normality before Lisa says it) So, so busy at work: I’m in Bournemouth next Monday and Tuesday, got transport booked to ship my test equipment up to Prestwick where I’ll be for the whole of the following week, I have to arrange to get the test stuff shipped from there to Hahn where I’ll be the week after that…then I think I’ll be back in the office for a week (maybe – got to go see the Ryanair people in Dublin at some point). I like being busy – the days fly […]

Since we got back to work after the break, it’s been non-stop with testing here and there. Halfway through the month and I’ve still to go to Prestwick (that’ll be next Thursday), then off to Skavsta (Sweden) the following week. After those 2, I should have a bit of a break (by break, I mean be office bound for a month or so). Just had an email regarding the schedule: Drive to Prestwick?! OMG – 800 miles round trip with a shitload of work in between? um, I think I’ll fly thanks π Last time I was in Skavsta, it […]

Today I have mostly been upping my caffeine intake…I’m considering strapping myself to my chair to stop myself bouncing off the walls. Spoke to ‘the man in Singapore’ – Wang (stop giggling at the back) – about the site and he likes my ideas thus far π After about 16 hours playing with ASP.net, I’ve decided to do the site from scratch in HTML/PHP with a little flash animation thrown in, then give him the source to inject the database stuff – I’m getting too old (and my workload is IMMENSE…no, I said WORKLOAD you pervs, my penis is at […]

Well, the snowy weather we were threatened with this week seems to have failed to arrive (woo!) – instead we have drizzly rain (ack). On the bright side though, at least it’s melting the stubborn bits of snow that are still dotted here and there, and no need to deice the car in the mornings! π In other news, I’m still waiting for ‘The Talkβ’’ – not sure whether she’s too busy to call or what…what is it with women? why can they not just say what they want and be done with it – who the fuck needs all […]

It’s not fair I tell you… And so, a blog π shall I mention football? hmm…we gave away a 0-2 lead to end up drawing against Everton (and Defoe missed an extra time penalty that would have given us the win) so maybe not eh? Work? shall I blog about work? much as I love my job – I don’t think so… So, what I’ll ramble on with is my phone – the Nokia N97 π It’s a lovely phone, and now I’ve managed to de-brand it (getting rid of the Vodafone crappy splash screen and useless link on the […]

For the last day I’ve had what can only be described as: FUCKING AWFUL SERVICE on my phone (Vodafone). Yesterday, it took me about 2 hours and countless reboots (IT cure-all: “Did you try turning it off and on again?”), before I could connect to the network – no way was I calling their Β£fuck-knows-how-much-a-minute ‘help’ line, so I gritted my teeth (and started reading my T&C) and accepted it…it seemed to work itself out. Today, I had a few problems sending texts etc. and, being the kind hearted guy I am (generally – I’ve not mentioned the work thing […]

Just got in – yet another hectic day in the life of snee… I’m off to the Munich Airshow next week π 2 days of checking out the competition (for work!) and trying to sell our company’s services – should be fun, even if I do have to shave and dress in a shirt and trousers (and shoes! proper shoes!). And believe me, when I say I love my job – it’s not just the travelling – I seriously love my job π I’ve got a Led Zep Too gig to see Saturday night – think I’ve mentioned it before […]
