a typical friday…
It started badly – one of the computers (the one used to connect to the bank to pay the wages) went into a spontaneous reboot everytime the desktop appeared. I finally managed to coax it back to life – good job we got a new tower this week with the intention of replacing that particular bit of kit (it’s gonna end up at my house when I’ve finished swapping machines around). Next thing that happened – Corina gets in, and seeing as she’s now got a new LCD screen, she decided to move everything around (cue me hanging about with […]

I was bored, so I decided to go to the bar for a beer or seven. Nothing unusual there huh? I partook in a few pints of guinness and found myself at one with the world (aka: approaching a state of inebriation). I must admit to being a geek though ‘cos all the time at the back of my mind was how to get around this piece of programming I’m currently (on and off) working on…nothing major, just one of those ‘I wonder if I could…’ scenarios that will most likely amount to nothing, but will keep my brain active […]

Well, England did dismally last night – losing 1-0 to Spain. On the bright side, it was good to see Barton get his debut, and Foster in goal DID make a couple of decent saves – maybe that’ll jog Robinson out of whatever coma he seems to be in at times for Spurs and England. England are supposed to be a world class team though – we should really be winning these home games – especially the ‘friendlies’. We got the first snow of the year (and winter) here, so I guess we’ll grind to a halt as nothing seems […]

Well, I don’t seem to be blogging too often…I should watch that – I’ll end up getting nagged about it 🙄 I’ve been very quiet on the football front recently – that’s because Spurs are having a kinda bad time right now, knocked out of the the semi final of the Carling cup by the woolwich nomads, then beaten (on our home ground) by Man Yoo last Sunday. Sigh – things can only get better. England play Spain tomorrow night in a friendly (is there actually such a thing as an international friendly game?), so let’s hope the Spurs contingent […]

Well, it seems it’s happened again…I’ve moved host AND changed the blog. I’m now using the FreeHostia hosting – like Xetaspace, they use Linux servers, offer full MySQL and PHP services – plus their servers are incredibly fast (this is the only downside I had with Xetaspace). This is the WordPress blog – seems very similar to the LifeType system I was using, but it has the advantage of being able to import/export data (guess who sat and physically moved all the entries to this system?). Anyway, let’s see how it goes…gonna go check out the plugins now…

I’ve now been in plaster for 30 days…my next appointment is February 20th at which point I should get the cast off and be allowed to put weight on my ankle (dunno how that will feel mind – it’s got to be a bit weak after what will be 7 weeks with no weight on it whatsoever). I’ll probably still need crutches for a few days. Sigh…I hate crutches

So the FA Cup weekend is done – no surprises really, West Ham have one last thing to cling onto – that being Premiership survival. Chelsea cruised to a relatively easy result, (The Mighty) Spurs crushed Southed…but the top result of the weekend? A**enal drawing against Bolton at the rubbish tip to create a return tie at Bolton – a place that IS a fortress…I’m gonna be a Bolton fan then…c’mon Davies – let’s see you beat the gooner scum. Apparently my ankle looks a little manky…I can’t help that – bit it WILL get better 3 weeks on Tuesday […]
