    Ack

How fucked up is that? Portugal through against England AGAIN on penalties…bastard Argie ref – every time the English players touched the portugese, the fuckers fell over crying. Fuck ’em. Let that asshole ronaldo come back to England – he’s got some explaining to do. At least France are through – I still have a team to follow (I’m English through and through, but there’s still some French blood in these veins) – so: Vive la France!!! The weather here is awesome – high 70’s every day. Maybe one of these days I’ll actually sunbathe and get a tan…but on […]

    Go France…

At last France have started to play in the World Cup Finals…last night’s game against Spain was almost like watching the winners of ’98 – and that’s what they’ll need to be when they meet Brazil in the quarter finals…and now there is no more football until Friday – what am I going to do?

    I hate Lloyds bank

Been a hell of a day so far…I went to the ATM to get some cash out this morning and the damn thing kept my card – that made me ever so slightly upset. Got to work, checked my balance online – fine, definitely the right side of zero. Then I noticed my direct debits had been deleted AGAIN. Cue one irate phone call to the national line – guy there couldn’t really help so he gave me the local branch number (Lloyds TSB – if anyone’s interested in getting a bank account, forget these). I called up the branch, […]

    We’re through…just about

Well, England qualified top of their group in the World Cup Finals without really looking very good. Last night’s game was a mixture – a sublime first half topped off by the goal of the tournament by Joe Cole (I thought that was going into the top of the stand), then a useless second half. Still, a draw was all we needed to finish top and avoid a second round match against hosts Germany – IF we go all the way, we could meet up with them in the final. Holland and Argentina play today – now THAT is gonna […]

    Woohoo!

Well, the world cup finals are under way – England got a win in the first game but personally I’m not happy – Eriksson made some substitutions that were just WRONG – in football you just can’t sit back and defend a 1-0 advantage. The ref was shit too – I’m not even going to start on THAT one… Work’s been good this week – down to Bournemouth again for 2 days – weather was awesome (for once) and I FINALLY got to see the beach (the hotel we stay in is only 10 minutes from the seafront and I’d […]

    Just like Rooney

Well, it’s been an interesting week to say the least… I got a mention in the LangaList (see link on the left) which resulted in my site getting a huge 2000 or so hits in 2 or 3 days. Also – on a football note (I just know that y’all LOVE to hear me ranting on about the injustices of football on my beloved Spurs…it seems that arsenal (hereinafter referred to as scum of the earth) might be kicked out of Europe for some financial irregularity (woohoo!) I was discussing this with a mate yesterday and he actually pointed out […]

    Cellphones

Been a strange one today – I’m due my mobile phone upgrade so I rang them asking for the Samsung D600 (same phone I already have – but I’ve got a buyer lined up for my old one). They told me it would cost £120 for that particular model. I argued a bit about if I was a new customer I’d get it for free – they responded with “Well, that would be a new contract.” I countered with “Well, THIS would be me having a new 12 month contract.” O2 then offered a £60 discount. I said that paying […]

    World Cup

Well, it’s all about football now – and more specifically – the World Cup…Eriksson has named his squad (see here). I must admit, I’m very happy to see Spurs players in the squad, but I expected to see Defoe in there too – admittedly he IS on standby (and most likely Rooney won’t be going) – but I never would have picked Crouch over Defoe. Looking at the midfield though, it makes you feel confident – so much strength and speed in there – and some goalscorers there too. I can’t wait…
