Woohoo!

Firstly, Spurs won their first away game this season against Manchester City, then West Ham beat Manchester United.

I’d agreed to help a friend move his TV into his new flat yesterday – I had no idea it was that big though – no word of a lie, it stands about 5 foot high and about 6 foot wide. We loaded it onto his pickup and I said maybe we should put it flat against the cab to make it easier to tie down. Andy looked at me and said “No, you’re sitting in the back to hold it up.” and he was serious too .

So there we were, driving down the road with me desperately trying to keep this monster TV upright (not easy when going round a corner at anything above 5 mph) with the wind making my eyes stream. Oh, and Andy thought it was a funny idea to phone his girlfriend to make sure she saw us as we went past…hilarious – NOT!

Getting the thing up the stairs to his flat was fun too – Andy was moaning about going backwards up the stairs – I was just trying not to think of me at the bottom of the stairs with the TV on top of me…

I sorted a computer out for a friend over the weekend too – basically the problem was Windows ME – it was blue screening every 10 seconds or so (VERY annoying I must admit). An upgrade to XP was called for – this took a record breaking 86 minutes (usual installs/upgrades take about 30 minutes).

Kind of a quiet day at work so I’m surfing (and pretending to be busy…might do a backup later on). I’ve spent the last couple of hours at this site – very amusing stuff…
