    Today has been mostly scripting so I’m like this: 🙂 The scripting has involved databases – we use FileMaker Pro. I like FileMaker, it’s easy to use and seemed to do exactly what I wanted of it. Lately however, I’ve been frustrated by my inability to achieve what I think the program is up to (yes, this has depressed me greatly – I hate being beat).     I suppose I'd better post something…

    And so, we’ll start with the football 🙂 After the first 2 games, Spurs have won 1, and drawn 1 – next Premiership game is home against Wigan (played 2, lost 2, conceded 10 goals). We beat them 9-1 at the Lane last year, so hopefully, more of the same 🙂 Spurs have the 2nd leg of the Champion’s League play off tomorrow – we lost the 1st leg 3-2 to Young Boys, so a 1 goal win or better, or a 1-1 draw will see us into the competition proper…COYS!     We're in Europe!

    So, I landed last night, switched my phone on and straight away checked the football scores… To set the scene: Spurs and Man City both had 2 games to go in the League, and both teams needed to win last night to finish in 4th place and guarantee Champion’s League football next season – this game was dubbed ‘the £50 million game’ (‘cos there’s a LOT of money to be made in the Champion’s League).     It’s shit… On a brighter note – Spurs went 5 points clear in the ‘race’ for 4th place…some tough games to go though – now’s the time to stand up and say “We want Champion’s League football.” And I think ‘Arry will do it too…FA Cup AND Champion’s Leagues next season…Tottenham Hotspur Football Club – beautiful football, we deserve it, it’s ours. Tough games against the top 3 coming up though – 2 at home, it’s OURS. I’m quite passionate about my football if you hadn’t noticed 🙂

    Yid army!

    Woop, woop! A 3-1 win against Fulham sees us into the semi finals of the FA Cup (it’s not a home tie though – apparently the semis are being played at Wembley…), goals from Bentley (his first touch on as a sub), Pavyluchenko, and Gudjohnsen canceled out the first half goal from Zamora (an ex-Spurs player). In other results, Villa drew against Sunderland, and Everton beat Man City 0-2 – so all in all a good night for the Yids 🙂

    Mid week football

    Tonight Spurs host Fulham in the FA Cup quarter final replay…the wineer plays Portsmouth in the semi final (with the added bonus of a home draw) – woop, woop! Also tonight, Aston Villa play Sunderland and Man City play Everton – to give us a bit of breathing space in 4th place I’d like to see Sunderland and Everton get all the points… Oh, and at some point yesterday I broke 68000 hits 🙂 Yesterday I got fed up with the ancient mobile I was loaned while my N97 was in for repair so I bought a backup phone – […]

    Woop, woop! Goals from Gudjohnsen (his first for Spurs) and Kranjcar gave us a 2-1 win over Stoke 🙂 Wolves managed to get a draw at Villa to give us a little breathing space – keeping our 4th place (and Champion’s League football next season)  is looking better and better… And now for some basic maths: snee + Spurs winning = fucking happy snee 🙂 And now to make some dinner – corned beef hash (cheers Smiler for the suggestion) But now we have 2 strikers (Defoe and Pavlyuchenko) out with injury, and 3 BIG games coming up – Man […]
