Close? it doesn't get any closer…
Spurs are off to Wembley to defend the Carling Cup against Manchester Utd. – a lethargic display last night saw us almost lose out despite a 4-1 lead from the first leg. Burnley have always been my ‘second’ team – I generally look to see how they get on, and the way they’ve played in this tournament shows they have a squad that believes in themselves – I mean, they knocked out Chelsea and Arsenal in previous rounds. Full match report here. In other news, Harriett’s daughter Nat has the Sims game. She made a character that actually looks a […]

You know the ones – where everyone seems to be on the same level and it’s just fun, fun, fun. Friday night it seemed everyone was just out to get drunk (yes, even I had 1 or 2 drinks *cough*). Let me see…there was Stella Artois (5 cans), large shots of Absinthe, then I went to the Tudor – Carlsberg, vodka, more Absinthe, discussions with Laura, Emma and Wendy about if we were lesbian (well, I am anyway), which women would we go with? seems Angelina Jolie came out favourite, then all the members of Girls Aloud. When I was […]
Read More100 things about me…
While looking around at blogs I follow, I noticed Rik has posted the list of 99 things I’ve done/want to do. I’m working my way through that list, but it made me think and so yesterday I sat and wrote a list of 100 things about me: I was born in Huntingdon, Cambs. My middle name is John. I am left handed. I have 2 tattoos. I walk very fast. Love to eat. Drink lager. I hate liars. Enjoy recreational drugs on occasion. Support Tottenham Hotspur Football club. Love to drive. Drink black coffee. I hate cheese. I detest people […]

To kill anyone wearing those stupid santa hats. Seriously, we could turn it into a game – 5 points for a housebrick between the eyes, 10 for catching them with a vehicle etc., etc. Ok, maybe that’s a little excessive (but I don’t think so), but sheep are dumb animals…and the morons who wear the silly things are just as, if not, dumber. Bleah. Spurs held Man Utd. to a draw on Saturday and moved up to 14th in the league until Newcastle went above us on goal difference. Never mind, we’ve taken points off the ‘top 4’ now – […]

An impressive away win at West Ham last night means Spurs are now at the dizzying height of 15th in the league and we’ve got Man Utd. at home on Saturday – we really could do with another 3 points there…

What a game that was on Sunday 🙂 Aaron Lennon played like he’s never played before – running at Blackburn’s defence and making them panic every time. The perfect end to a great weekend – the details of which I’m not going into. Well, just thought I’d post something – I’m pretty busy right now so this’ll have to do.

With a record (Ha!) of just 2 clean sheets from 18 starts, it seems Gomes’ is no longer the first choice goalkeeper for Spurs. Apparently ‘Arry has recalled Ben Alnwick (aged 21) from his loan spell at wherever. This makes me think – just how bad can the reserve keeper (Cesar) actually be? with Blackburn coming to the Lane on Saturday, our old ‘keeper Robinson makes his first visit back – and how he must be grinning. He’s found his form again, and must be laughing his socks off at the hapless Gomes. Don’t get me wrong – Gomes has […]

15 today…I love you son 🙂 Some people may have picked up on the fact that I’m a Spurs (that’s Tottenham Hotspur Football Club) fan, and that of late, we’ve got a new manager and REALLY started playing well – taking points off 3 of the top 4 clubs in the Premiership and last night our glorious honeymoon with ‘Arry continued with a 4-2 tonking of Liverpool in the Carling Cup. I must admit, when I first saw the line up, I thought “Ah, he doesn’t care too much about this competition – he’s saving players for the league game […]
